I can’t believe it has taken me this LONG to blog on the candy craze, especially since my husband and I used this same trend at our wedding and it was a HUGE success! I L-O-V-E the Candy Bar idea, and it makes a very bold statement when assembled correctly. Your guests will delight when they see the collection of confectionery treats that await them at your reception. (more…)
I realize that I have already blogged about the alluring appeal of using cupcakes at your reception in lieu of the traditional four-tier cake, but I just couldn’t resist walking down memory lane. If interested, check out my original
This season ladies, you no longer have to restrict flowers to you tables and bouquets. Wow, have bridesmaid dresses come a long way over the last few years. My first maid experience was when I was twenty-one, wondering what monstrosity my friend would pick to have us wear. I was having vivid flashbacks of Rachel, in the friends episode, standing there in that Pepto Bismol pink dress and hat. To my surprise, the bride wanted us to pick out the dress! We wound up with a fantastic floor length lilac gown that was just amazing in pictures. So ladies don’t be afraid, there are so many more options available than that of our predecessors!
Tired of sitting like little ducks in a row? We do it every workday, filing in and out of lines, why at weddings? If you are tired of the traditional seating plans, then this is “must read” article for you!
How many times have you been asked as you are planning your wedding, “have you picked your cake yet?” A question I initially scoffed at while planning my nuptials. I couldn’t see how my choice of wedding cake could be an issue while picking out my dress or flowers. Then I realized, when my husband-to-be and I sat down with our baker, it really did matter! Not that we changed our whole theme and color palate to match our ideal cake, but the style we were choosing was heavily influenced by selections from vendors we previously made.
