Make you wedding sparkle and shine by taking tips from the 1920's and 30's!

Oh how we love to reminisce of times past. Thinking back to days of youth and sharing fond memories. Now it’s your wedding day and time to make new memories! The thought of planning a wedding can seem like a daunting task for a lot of brides-to-be, but it doesn’t have to be! I understand the pressure of not knowing which linens will go best with the lighting, and what flowers go best with the china and room decorations. My advice to you busy brides; pick a theme first and the rest of your ensemble will fall neatly into place. By choosing your theme you will then be able to research ideas that will make your decision-making process less tedious. (more…)

Las Vegas wedding theme

Out in the middle of the dry Nevada desert comes an oasis sprawling with palm-lined streets that flash neon at all hours of the day. You guessed it… Vegas baby!! Yes, sure, the platinum wedding girls will remain the ones with the mile high cakes, but this season the look is cascading cakes. Multiple cakes with fewer layers, decorated on stands of different heights. (more…)

Retro/Rockabilly wedding ideas.

Call it Retro, call it Rockabilly, call it what you will, but this season watch out wedding-goers because you may just get knocked off you feet by this latest craze! So, we have all heard the term “Retro” used a lot lately in terms of fashion and décor, but really what are we talking about. Not completely sure myself, I Wiki’d it! I know pretty funny. So the “official” definition reads that “Retro” is a culturally outdated or aged style, trend, or fashion, from the postmodern past, but have since become functional or superficially the norm once again… okay so Vintage? No, not really Vintage, think more Elvis and Mary Tyler Moore. (more…)

Pink is back again and is setting the trend for 2010 weddings.

If you are one of the tragic, like myself, who LOVE pink then you are in luck! If you plan to wed in 2010 then skies are the limit for us pink lovers! No longer must you suffer in silence. Take back your passion for color and use it. Make your wedding one big pink bonanza or use it as accents and incorporate it in small amounts into your wedding décor.
