Most wedding sites will tell you the reason we are seeing an increase in brides and grooms choosing to wed on December 31st, is because of the great value couples can swing with hotels and rental companies. The options are limitless basically because New Years Eve is one of those go-all-out type of nights. Think of the most outrageous things you’ve seen at a wedding, and combine them into one event. I’m talking glitz, glamor, jewels, sparkles, fireworks, fire-breathers, punk bands, boas, masks, strobe lights, and disco balls… anyone exhausted yet? If you have ever dreamed about a photo-booth at your wedding, now would be a great time to have one! This is also probably one of the best times to have children at a wedding (other than Halloween of course!). Keep them entertained with music, dancing, and costumes (this is when feather boas and masks come in handy), just maybe keep objects that make noise away from them… at least until after cake cutting!
